I decided to try to reinstall DirectX now, and in normal boot it skipped to completed( ). Anyway, I re-ran DXDIAG and to my surprise there were no detected DirectX drivers on either 32 or 64bit versions of the program. ![]() I was told to do this by some stupid site. Then I re-ran the Eradicator, and deleted the DirectX folder from the registry under LOCAL \\SOFTWARE\\MICROSOFT\\. DXDIAG 64-bit showed that there was 9.0c installed. DXDIAG 32-bit showed that there was no DirectX driver installed. Tried to reinstall DirectX and it skipped to the final screen saying it's done.Īfter I did that, I ran DXDIAG. Here's what i've done so far(and made it worse?): Since that day I haven't been able to open audio files in WMP without turning off hardware acceleration on my soundcard. Somehow I accidentally pressed reset on my PC while playing a game, and some DAW programs were up too. A while back I had a problem with my SB0160(Audigy 1) Soundcard.
